Marriage is a gift of God in creation through which husband and wife may know the grace of God. It is given that as man and woman grow together in love and trust, they shall be united with one another in heart, body and mind, as Christ is united with his bride, the church.

Funerals

A funeral is a ceremony for celebrating, sanctifying, or remembering the life of a deceased person. Your loved one has a right to a funeral in the Church of England, within your parish, regardless of whether they attended church or not. Our parish clergy would be willing to talk to you or anyone facing a loss and to assist in helping you choose an appropriate funeral service. A funeral service can be simple and quiet with only a few members of your family present or with a crowded church, with or without hymns and music. It can take place in our parish church or at the local crematorium chapel.
